And write down this event and its duration.

It is possible even to write down in the separate report, as "critical" event. I think, it will help to trace a condition of chambers. As for example, at use on independent object when the operator does not observe of the monitor, it will be useful to notify for example the admin on SMS on it or to initiate an alarm signal.

I think I get what you are saying, that a completely uniform image should in itself represent an alarm? If so then yes I can see the usefulness of this, though it would have to be optional as some of my cameras go completely black at night and this is normal, until someone walks in front of them. Though they do go blue if disconnected!

I will have a think and see if I can come up with a good way to support this.

Yes, it should seems to me uniform image to initiate alarm since with a high probability it is possible to assume, that it not a healthy situation.

It is possible to include for example this opportunity only for some camers from which the image goes round the clock.

I presumed that was a bt8x8 thing? Perhaps that blueness might be something that could figure in an "am I connected" test?
