Hey there guys.
Iam trying to set up an user that is only allowed to view the camera and nothing else, but i get this strange error in ZM view window.
I do get a picture from the camera, this error is in both IE and Firefox, and no errors in the ZM logs or the system logs.
The user config is. :
Anyone have any ideas.
Another thing Phill, is it right that a user with only view enabled on the camera source will be able to see the filters related to that camera, or is this an uupppsss in the security ?

The error is complaining that a user with only stream view privileges is trying to view the recent events, so that is correct as such. However the event frame probably shouldn't even be displayed in that case and I am doing a quick amend now for that.
The second point I'm not sure about. I guess not but it can be argued either way. How do you get to the filters for that user, as here the links are disabled.

Heya Phil
I get to the filter window from the zm console, as illustrated below. :
This is what the guest user see when going into the filter option. :
And if the user click on the filter id he gets this. :
The user cant change anything, so no trouble there, i was just thinking that the filters would be part of the system security and there for dont have access for it.
I have send u a link in pm so u can test it urself.

Looking at this further I notice that your user has 'view' access to monitors. This means that he can see (but not modify) monitor configuration etc. This includes zone configuration so it is working correctly. You do not need to enable access to monitors at all if you just want streaming, in which case this link will be disabled.
