I have zoneminder with Fedora core.
How to set up email notification?
I couldn't find it in the manual...

Basically, make sure that you have filled in all the relevant fields in Options->Email first. Then you will need to create a filter that produces the events that you want to be notified about, for instance you may only want one camera or events that happen in the day only. Then when your filter is returning the events you want you should save it, making sure you check the 'email matching events' option. Any matching events will only be notified once each.

2. Can you please provide a sample filter for email notification?
It seems to be complex...
