Are old photos/captures events eating my hard drive?
Are old photos/captures events eating my hard drive?
Since I'm new to Zoneminder...and just now starting to understand it...I have this hunch that I am filling up my hard drive with these captured events. I noticed a option set somewhere that said something like "To speed operation, delete events from the SQL database only". If I have this set, am I actually leaving JPG's in some directory somewhere? If so, is there a button somewhere that says "Delete any JPG's not in my database"...or is there another method for clearing this out?
By checking that option zm leaves the zmaudit to remove events that are not in the database. You also must go into the filter page and where it says "use filter" select the PurgeWhenFull filter and save it. this will give you another option window and you can check the delete box so that the filter deletes events. By defualt it doesn't delete events.

I've done this, followed your directions (and the directions in the FAQ) and created a PurgewhenFull filter. and checked the "delete files" item in the next window that appears. But my drive appears to still be filling with events and JPG's. I know have 8440 event over the last week, placed in 3 directories, 7, 17 and New7.
I told the filter to fire when I was over 75% full, but my drive shows 86% full. I would expect my event to be deleted and the drive to stay at exectly 75% full (not 86%).
What am I doing wrong?
