Your Logfiles should be
(of coarse this is Distro spacific) and I noticed zmupdate.log is differant and I'm not sure why but am looking into it. The user and group should be the same as the user and group set in apache.

Code: Select all

-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 18834605 Jun 22 18:52 zmaudit.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 1971687 Jun 22 10:50 zmdc.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 1674185 Jun 22 10:50 zmfilter.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 78512 Jun 22 10:50 zmpkg.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache root 0 Jun 14 21:48 zmupdate.log

Naw, that's a broken driver, a driver that no longer matches a recently upgraded kernel, or a hardware failure.

FWIW, no, a kernel panic has *nothing* to do with logfiles, permissions, or anything else.

You have an intermittent in your hardware, and it will likely bite you again; mark my words. :-)
