how do I view a capture for a camera that is just set on record?

I see now that the event is archived as continuous, how can set a continuous feed to only fill up X amount of drive space? or leave X amount of drive space?

If you are in 'record' mode the captures are still divided into events of a certain duration. You can't control how big each of these events is individually as nothing would know until the event was completed. You can use the PurgeWhenFull (or a custom) filter to delete the oldest events top ensure that your disk usage doesn't exceed a certain threshold though.
