Camera unplugged = nothing recorded?

I have been using ZM for a couple of days now and everything seems to be working great. I was watching one of my cameras in real time (by connecting to it's internal web server) which usually does not effect ZM in any way. While watching the video in "real-time" I saw my cat walk over to the camera and grab the power cord and pull it out, which I thought was hillarious until I checked ZM. ZM had an event recorded for the camera but it was labeled "new event" 0 seconds, no video, no stills, nothing. How can this be? I mean it took at least 20 seconds for the cat to make it across the room, all of which time ZM would normally be recording. Any ideas?

TIA!

if you wait till the end of your section time (default 600 seconds) you should have the event

Aha!

It's the *section* time. Is that true of mocord and record modes as well?

From the Readme:
Section Length – This specifies the length (in seconds) of any fixed length events produced when the monitor function is ‘Record’ or ‘Mocord’. Otherwise it is ignored. This should not be so long that events are difficult to navigate nor so short that too many events are generated. A length of between 300 and 900 seconds I recommended.

yeah it is but i assume if you use 'modect' then it would be in the list quicker. Bear in mind most of the time you watch recordings after the event. although you may have a serial 'cat burglar' there :P
