Try checking that you set image size in your config is supported by the card.
Typical NTSC setting are 320x240 and 640x480. I do not know the typical PAL settings but I'm sure a search on the forum would give results.

This is normaly seen when the size/pallet of image does not match what the card/camera can do.

Cordel

Thanks -- seem to work more than 0x0 :) Now i'm trying to figure out what diffrence is in PAL from camera or Pal from TV-SAT (Phipls DVR-3010) and images from TVSAT are "broken" like having no sync and no color at all.

Maybe problem above should be added to FAQ.

BTW i'm working on http://cvs.pld-linux.org/SPECS/zm.spec
When finished Zm (binary rpm) should be avalible for amd64 ppc or even sparc :)

Any sugestions on "viewing live" motion on vga monitor connected to PC (without mouse/keyboard, only the monitor).

Yes i want to to do this too. I was wondering about using something similar to windows startup and have the relevant info in the url. Will let you know if i get anywhere. Or is there a tidier solution
