Whilst currently trying to make my zm box fall over ive run into a little problem of my own making. I used to have a midi tower box but was ugly so i got a smallish case like a midi tower but not as high nor as wide but not mini atx size. Now while trying to kill my zm box im using a high res pal image at 25 fps and 8 ip cameras. Things are great stay well below a load of 1 and about 20% cpu even with x running. At this spec every stays lovely and cool. Now when i ramp capture up to 25fps my proc sits at a nce 38 degrees but my mobo jumps to 52 deg. My psu also gets a bit warm. As its a funny size the psu is only 300watt but i dont get crash issues. Am i being paranoid about the life of my ram hard disks even mobo or what.
Oh forgot to mention zm box is on my desk in my cellar so ambient say 26 degrees. My main rig has a mobo temp of 35. So basically do i need to worry about this??

Very odd that the mobo temperature is higher than the CPU temperature. Does that sensor measure the temp of certain chips on the motherboard, or is it a measure of ambient temperature? Are you using LMSensors to gather this info? Have you tried taking a measurement from these and then rebooting straight into the BIOS and comparing against the readings in there?
Would need more info about your exact setup to make any more meaningful observations I think. Also, you mention that everything's great at 25fps, but it gets hot when you ramp up to 25fps. Typo?
