I'm still getting tons of alarms, with frames like these:

http://adamp.no-ip.com:10080/misc/019-capture.jpg

Could this be because my CPU is not fast enough? (I'm getting load average close to 2 with motion detection on). If so is there a way to capture on one machine and analyse on another?

Thanks!

If you have xawtv or tvtime you might want ot check and see if the camera is giving the same type of images there. If you see it in xawtv or tvtime then it could be a camera or driver issue.

The images appear fine when I monitor the camera...it's only some of the captures tha appear corrupted. There's no way it could be a product of lack of processor?

It shouldn't be processor related. It looks more like the image is only being partially received or decoded. You probably wouldn't see the same thing in xawtv anyway as that doesn't use a grabbing. You could try dropping the max fps as an experiment and seeing is that has any effect.
