This idea isn't going to be really useful until it is possible to "draw" alarmzones directly in the zoneeditwindow, but anyway:

i'd like to see the ability to run a selection of events through zoneminder again but with another alarmzone, why ? to check a specific area for changes for instance to see when an item was removed or if the original alarmzone is
very large and you only want to look for events in small area of the picture,

the latter is useful for ptz-cameras that you have made a scripted route for since its easier to have a full picture alarmzone on those and filter events on what preset they occured on and then start to look for what happened, then a way to rerun the events through zoneminder but with a different zone would be very helpful.

Interesting idea...sort of like a playback zone/trigger. I also wish there was a way to "draw" alarm zones...it will probably require a java app.
