[solved] mixing BTTV 4chip/4ports with 1chip/4ports
Hello,
i've got one bttv0 with 4 channels and one bt878A, and added second card, with 4 ports and 4 channels.
Every card left alone works pretty well. Combining them seems to be problematic and neither of them work.
Using kernel 2.4.30 and ZM-1.21-3.
Anyone having similar problems/setup?

I've not done what you have so I don't know if there might be any basic reason for it not working. The only I can suggest is to try moving the cards around into different PCI slots and seeing if that makes a difference. Getting your modules.conf file right can also be a bit tricky for multiple cards.

Done that.
Still no idea.
After many "shm get" error i've increased it by factor of 2 in /etc/sysctl.conf and 'sysctl -p' new setting.
In example bellow d0 and d1 are "4x1", d2..d5 are "4x4"

it's here:
http://pancake.sggw.waw.pl/~hunter24/bttv/4xbt878a/
Don't know it's name, lspci says "4 generic pci cards", each one with bt878a and audio input.
Can't find it on http://pvrhw.goldfish.org/bttv/bttv-gallery.html
And in dmesg: 4 times this text:
Here http://www.allegro.pl/show_item.php?item=61626917 I've found similar card. (price is about 100 Euro)

Solved:
Don't use any card=..., when mixing i use card=77,0,0,0,0.
First card is 4in1 and second is being treated as 4 separate cards.
Just for record: cart works pretty well. I've got ~20 fps on each port, and for "4in1" card 2-5 fps (while using more than one of four).
If someone would want any details please go ahead.
BTW mysqlcheck did that:
# Connecting to localhost...
zm.Config OK
zm.Controls OK
zm.Events OK
zm.Filters OK
zm.Frames
warning : Number of rows changed from 175406 to 175384
status : OK
zm.Groups OK
zm.Monitors OK
zm.States OK
zm.Stats OK
zm.TriggersX10 OK
zm.Users OK
zm.Zones OK

I don´t have it installed now.
But I think I´ve put something like 0,1,2,3 in the devices.
It shows as if recognice the four cameras, but no images, except the first one.
I´ve installed from the cd live with mandrake 10.1.
The capture device was a generic bt878.
I think I will need really help.

If I have any problems would you help me?
Just send me an email.
This is from Brazil.
thanks a lot anyway.
