Turning off logging

Does anyone know how to turn off logging? I have zoneminder log to /tmp, but it also writes to the system logs which I see in /var/log/messages. I either need to figure out how to make zoneminder's system logs go to its own file or turn it off, but it makes /var/log/messages worthless to me.

You should be able to control the destination of the ZM messages using syslog.conf as far as I know.
