zm on Debian lose video/stills when changing source params

Ok on Debian (sarge) I have zm 1.21.3 installed. Here's the wierd thing. If I change the source capture width or size after setting up a camera, that camera's feed is no longer available (either streaming or as a still). Can't access it period. However, if I view the feed using xawtv of course it's there. Worse off, if I even delete that source and recreate it, it won't work. It seems, however, if I reboot the entire system, then the feed will be available again.

Any ideas?

Hey,
Seems like a good reason for me to come by for coffee
Does any thing show up in the logs?
If I remember correct we had you set at 640x480, what did you change it to?
If you would like call me in the morning and I can stop buy, I have tons of time these days just no money LOL.
Regards,
Cordel

If you do anything that increases the image size or colour depth then sometimes the shared memory segments gets left behind and so it cannot be recreated at the new size. Restarting ZM should fix it, rather than a whole system reboot. Also make sure that you are not watching the streams when you resize as sometimes this is what locks the segments.

Making image size etc smaller should be fine as it can reuse the existing segment, it will just waste a portion of it.
