I get jpg video via cambozola fine, but when I switch to mpeg video I only get a black image on both firefox and explorer, I installed from the Zm from the FC3 v1.21.3 distro by Cordel, so it should work out of the box, is anyone else seeing this problem? how can I resolve it?

first off.its probable that it will work out the box but zm is a vey powerful complex piece of software supporting tones of different configs and pcs etc out the box.
Are you waiting long enough for it to cache video
and if you are what errors do you have

I am definately waiting long enough for the caching (30min at least) I dont see any errors my /var/log/messages, perhaps I should be looking at other files?

problem appears to only be with Real time

If I am looking at the live feed I dont see any video (black) and no erros in the log, but if I generate a video on a previous event, I see the video fine?

I made no path changes, so how would it generate video from the archive, but not a live stream? they both use ffmpeg correct?

yes i believe so but i think there is a differnt path or setting for live stream and playback, i read it on here maybe you could search for it. I think they were having the same issue.

I might have to take a peek. If you have one the other should work (current vs saved events) they both work the same way.
I'll install a cd this weekend and double check everything. If I find anything I''l post here else I might need to poke in your machine.
