Is it possible to send all ZM errors to a differnet address and be in the options mabe a cales from 1-5 1 being serious erros only and 5 being everything rlevent fault wise. That way if a machine was starting to have issues i would get to know about it pretty quick. Obviously if the machine totally failed it would never get to send it but that kind of thing usually gets noticed.

Error emailing
There are apps already out there that handle that. Some are part of most distro's already like logwatch. You can also use heartbeat to monitor local network machines health.
This are already mature and work well.

PS I'll be looking into your issue with the cams, and logwatch should be available on the cd if not already installed by default.

Corey i understand this is possible but am unsure of
1 the interface to use
2 what actually is an error worth worrying about
I was hoping that as Phil is talking about possible addng video loss detection as a seperate email item that adding faults at the same time would be a huge issue (i may be wrong)
If you go down an additional program route its another thing to configure. Maybe another option would be for me to get this working using logwatch as settign up a default conf. I assume it uses conf's. I could then post this.
Will let you know how it goes.
Also chances are ill be posting again for your knowledge and help lol
