Hello - I am using ZM 1.21.0 in it's simplest configuration with all cameras in Record mode, constantly.
How can I get it to write over old data when the disk is full (or nearly) full?
I read soemthing about setting filters but I couldn't find anything in the Options for this....
Is there an easy way to do this?
thanks for any help!

once in console click on an event list eg bottom line first column
should show the first page of that event list
click showfilterwindow
at the top should see a drop down box called use filter:
click on drop down and select purgeWhenFull
Check/adjust settings to taste
click save
another window will popup
tick automaitically delete all matches
click save
you should now have a filter that will only run when the disk is eg 99% full
as the first windows showed sort acs and limit to first 2 results
the filter will automatically delete the first 2 oldest event
Hope that helps

hey james - sorry to be not quite with the programme - but I did everything and set it to 90% but it's still growing!
Here's what I did. Any clues?
Use 2 filter expressions Use Filter: PurgeWhenFull
Archive Status Unarchived Only
and Disk Percent greater than or equal to 90
Sort by ID Asc Limit to first 2 results only
I then did SAVE.
Save as PurgeWhenFull
Automatiocally Delete All Matches
I then did SAVE
I then did Submit
I then did Close

creeping up to 93%. Not brave enough to run on internet yet, heaven only knows what trouble I'll get into without all the patches and stuff
(actually I would be interested in running via VPN on my cheapo router - does anyone do that successfully?)

just patch it and put it on as long as ur up to date you should be ok unless someone targets you. The only problems been reported on here is when passwords and things havent been changed.
James
PS if you set it to 90 it shouldnt be creeping up. You havnt enabled things like email or ftp upload in options have you?
