Hi all,
I have 6 of the same cameras. 30LED round gold colored with wired and wireless connections. All are working wonderful except for the one on /dev/video(0)2 . It's showing up in what appears to be b/w. I've verified all the settings and they all match. Below are links to two pictures, one correct and the one that is showing b/w.

ZM version 1.21.0
AMD Sempron 2100 w/512Megs DDR
160gig HD
Hard drive config:
3gig /
1.6gig swap
remainder as /var
I've reduced the buffers also for each camera.
Thanks,

have you confirmed this camera is outputting colour as it looks like the image is very noisy and maybe due to what it thinks i spoor light. Take the bnc/phone out of zm and put it on a monitor and see what you get
Also could do with a bit more info about your capture cards and what is on what port etc

I just swapped the cables between video(0)1 and video(0)2 and the b/w problem appears to be a port issue on the card.
Has anyone seen this before?
thanks,

I have on a osprey card i had, usually means linux has not autodetected your card fully and will need a little help. What cards you using
and if you use the same port on another card is the issue the same (assuming your cards are identical) just to prove weather it is a card issue

Hi James,
You're exactly correct. The 3rd port down on the identical card beside it has the same problem. What config files should I edit to make sure it's getting the right card. I believe you stated in another thread about card=77 or something (going from memory).
Thanks,

thats definetly at a 77
open your modprobe.conf (in /etc)
add
"options bttv card=77"
save it and reboot and you should be away.
Out of interest if i dont enter 77 i get nothing (are you using ntsc cameras)

yes, NTSC.
Thanks for the help. I'm in another state, but I'll try to remap the router for ssh to it and make the change reboot and see what happens.
Will keep you posted.
Cheers!
