Two points:

a: have the ptz option unavailable during motion detection to avoid false alarms by remote users. I use a saved profile called"armed" that cron controls. Maybe saving "controllable" option in the monitor setup as part of the profile?

b: have ptz controls available without "edit" tag on user account enabled so the remote user can't delete the monitors.

1 this can be done. In your alarms setting you can have a maximum setting, ie anything asbove this will be ignored. If your moving the whole scene the changs will be huge so this can be setup.

2 I agree and has already been passed to main man Phil. I think though that you can setit so that manitors cant be deleted but twith ptz turned on monitors can be added
