another thought linked to the previous i suppose.
we normally capture @320 240 and a 206 m will do up to 1280x1024
could we/you make the or a differnent (selectable from options or another control tab for dig zoom) window show the centre of megapixel cam showing 320x240.
we could then pan around zoom in one level zoom out a few levels etc both live and recorded footage. At the mo we only really have 1-2mp cams about (readily available i know there are higher res), but speakimg to pana this week we should have 4 and 6 mp and maybe 8 and 12 by the end of next year.

I'm not sure I exactly follow what you are after. Do you mean the whole resolution would be recorded but only a partial section would be displayed and you could move around that?

yes thats it. i think it would be best as an option that could be turned on fo each camera. i assume the har
bit would be getting digital zoom (with interpolation lol) onto the inteface. what gave me the idea is cambozola as that zooms and then you can pan around, this is just a slightly different way.
