zm4ppc help needed zm viewer for pocket pc 2003 se
I have an early days version o zm ppc viewer for wait for it pocket pc's
Its currently (as in right now) working with hard coded info but that is easy to fix.
I am looking for volunteers as i nede to know if it will even install without the vs.net on the target machine. I have had to upgrade to activesync 4.1 to get it to install on my ppc. Dell axim x30 high by the way
so if you can put your names here if your interested in this, else i will leave it as is (cos hard coded will do for just me lol).
It currently is a 4 way viewer only but obviously functionaity will increase with time and forum input.

i have used sjlabs before because we have a swyx phone system at work, and it accepts softphones. unfortunatly the codecs didnt match and i gave up with it. it worked in a fashion but not properly. As im all headseted up on my main pc ibwould probably use that or my laptop when i finally get of my arse and try these things.

Just an FYI, You can use any sip softphone with FWD as well. FreeWorldDialup.com Rules. Much better than the others out there since they use a standard codec
I just wish my online/offline picture worked in my signature here (guess it needs to have the .gif extension but since it's dynamic url it don't show).

another update on this its gonna be a while lol
Im having isues with multithreading and with the threads addressing the same variables. When i work out how to lock the threads it will start moving again. Theres not to much documentation out there for similar projects, everyone seems to be using ppc for databases and stupid real world data apps..,.... boring lol

I've bit out of touch with Zoneminder and the windows viewer for a while, but I'd also be interested in this PDA viewer.
I think it would be great to be able to use the PDA as a viewer for a front door cam monitor, sitting in the cradle next to the PC whilst working back late at the office.
Cheers,
-Kent

I agree. I have a wireless PDA and have tested it with wifi and over bluetooth with GPRS. But without the connection it will run when docked over activesync too!I think it would be great to be able to use the PDA as a viewer for a front door cam monitor, sitting in the cradle next to the PC whilst working back late at the office.

Eh, that's OK, we can all admire your house on our pocket PC phones.
Seriously, I bet there would be a lot more interest in this nowadays with PocketPC phones becoming more popular. I use pocket IE with the format=xhtml option to view my cams remotely, but I would love something that could stream, or even just be somewhat easier to use. For now I've set my pocket IE homepage to the monitor view (with the user/pass on the GET string so it auto-loads), but it would be great to see something that streams or just updates automatically.
