Non-buffering MPlayers/plugins?

Hi.

Recently, I did some testing with various Windows media players (WMP, Classic Media Player, QT, Real, etc...), to try and pinpoint the lag nature. It seems that every player eventually starts lagging, some more and some less, where the WMP has the crown of the most lagged one (delays can reach up to 15 min!).

The conclusion of these testing, is that all that players are by nature more oriented towards media playback, where frames skipping must be minimal, then towards real-time streaming.

I would like to know, if someone aware of a media player (which has a browser plug in, preferable) that allows to force skipping frames, in order to keep up with the real time stream.
