I am doing lots of reconfiguring the ZM.
My box was connected to a B&W cam, and the file size of the individual frames was ~8K.
I thought the quickest way to clear the DB was to just delete the cam - and thereby all it's events.
When I added new monitor - same cam, I found that the frame size had jumped to 27K!
Anybody know what this is about?

id move this to the main forum as this is about feature ideas.
But the only thing i can assume apart from the obvious b/w or colour select is that its now dark and the cam has lots of noise in it. Noise is difficult for jpeg algo's to compress as it all high contrast and the file size will jump up. But no i havnt noticed this on anything before

Check in your options-> config to see if you may have set ZM_COLOUR_JPEG_FILES or may have changed the ZM_JPEG_FILE_QUALITY. Those are the only settings I can think of. Also I think that the file quality setting was not working properly in some of the earlier versions (I may be wrong, but I recall patching something simular for the rpms) and was fixed in 1.21.4-0.3 rpm.
