Please, remember of 'caseystones' patch (http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... ht=libarch), contained in the post '64 bit build', I think it has been lost in 1.22, because I'm experiencing exactly the same problems reported by caseystone, and addressed by his patch ...
Thanks in advance !

If you mean the configure patch, then yes is got missed from the current 1.22.0. I will make sure I add it before the real release.

Hello!

I just wanted to say that the patch should be referred to as the Karlg patch since he's the one who made it.

Also, though I tried to use the patch, my attempts to make the update from 1.21.0 to 1.21.4 were not successful. It was due to ffmpeg problems most likely.

I downloaded the great CTU setup from Cordel and it's super solid. I'm going to go to his 64-bit version of it soon.

Also for the record, though I did have my 64-bit FC3 install running Zoneminder for a number of months it did "crash" from time to time requiring a reboot. What happened was that a ZMC process (just one of them) would jump to about 80% cpu usage. At that point a full restart of the computer was required to fix it. Then it would run from between 1 day and 10 days before the problem recurred.

When it was "crashed" it would still work, just with very low framerates.

Was that running bttv type cameras or netcams?

BTTV. I use Avermedia EZ-DVD maker cards. They're a PCI card with one video input (I think either s-video or normal composite), 30fps.

http://www.aver.com/2005home/product/vi ... rpci.shtml

They're around $30. I've got four of them in the computer plus one IP camera.

I thought it might be a hardware problem before, but after running the CTU distro I've had no problems like that anymore.

I have built 64 bit packages for FC3, and I'm just waiting to finnish the new scripts for 1.22 before I release the 64 bit distro.

The packages can be found here.

From here it should be obvious whats for i386 and x86_64

Once I get those all finnished up I'll be working on a FC4 version of the distros but, there will be no i386 as i'll build everything i686 as I don't think anyone is really using zm on anything less than a PII.
