Zoneminder 1.21.3 - Deleting events ok, but captures remain!

Post by sixgunz »

Hi.

My first post - downloaded the live install of this (too dumb to get the rpm's to work in mandriva 2006!) Fantastic software!!

I have been playing with event captures, and monitoring the /var/www/html/zm/events directory.

Subfolder called 1 (assuming thats the camera id) then subfolders for event id's and inside those subfolders, losts of jpegs - some analysis, some captures.

Okay, thats fine, but when I go and delete the events in the web console, those event folders remain!! Is that by design? If so, I'm gonna run out of disk space quite quickly!!

Can someone help please?

Thanks and kind regards,

Glenn

ps - did I mention that this software is awesome??!!!!

This is the way it is supposed to work if you have 'fast deletes' switched on. It will just delete the DB entry and return control back to you quickly. The zmaudit process should come along within a few minutes and tidy up the directories. Check the zmdc.log and zmaudit.log files if this isn't happening.

You can also switch fast deletes off so it does everythig there and then.

Wow, what a fast response!!

Thanks for that. Good to know that my disk will be spared for another day!
