which is better: MAX FPS or SKIP FRAMES?

How many FPS should I set my camera to store events at?

I mean, what is the minimum rate to have a good quality viewable event?

My cameras are currently running at 5 fps each ... this takes lots of space to store events.

And what is the better way to limit this: to set MAX FPS or to SKIP EVERY x FRAMES?

thanks.

That really depends on what you want and is subject to preferance.
I sometimes prefer to use skip because I can watch a live feed at a higher frame rate but yet I never record more than 3 frames per second.

So really it depends on what you want and what the system you put together can handle.

Cheers,
