Ok, I got it working after a little reading and a couple of reboots... But it appears tro be really slow....

I am running this mandrake bootable/installable version downloaded here and it is on the following specs:

Celeron 1.,7gz
512MB Ram
2 BT848 cards

When you first open the index page it takes like 20-30 seconds to load.... then alot of the other screens take what would appear to be abnormally long times to load.... It appears to be web related since I am not recording and there is little data on the drive or in MYSQQL at this point...

ANy Suggestions???

A Celeron 1.7 with 512 should be able to run this right??

whats your load
type top in a command window. A celly of that spec should be ok for a couple of cams yeah

It looks like the CPU load is about 33-35%

Slow comms is often related to DNS problems and queries timing out after quite long periods of time. It's worth checking your DNS setup anyway to be sure.
