just a thought
I haved used ignore max fps with succes on the single chip capture cards but causes no end of grief with a few ip cams.

Could it be changed to
normal fps
alarm fps
and still have ignore max on alarm. I would then use 1 fps normally (or even 0.5) and have alarm at 4 fps. I currently do this but i use a feamseskip and this uses cycles to analyse when nothing is happening

Are you using just jpeg sources with your IP cams? Otherwise the FPS is controlled by the cam anyway so whatever ZM does will have no effect.

yes i am using jpg sourcses. maybe a ignore fps max setting could be done as a global, so if i wanted to ignore the 1 fps used but limit it to 5, thecreason im having a problem is if multiple ip cams alarm together as the machine cannot handle it

Pretty long, the bug/feature numbers are up to about 300 or so. However I have found some time today to implement this and add an Alarm Max FPS setting to each monitor so the maximum FPS during alarm is now set on a monitor basis rather than globally.

Will that do?
