Need some help with Install, apache issues with chown

being extremely new to Linux, not sure what the story is here, this is the error i'm getting with make install

getting an invalid user response? I'm running Ubuntu 5.04 (Hoary Hedgehog) distro, and installing via root terminal.

any ideas?

This seems to suggest that 'apache' is not the web user or group on your system. I don't know Ubuntu but you could check what user is running the web server via ps, it may well be something like wwwrun in which case this is what you have to supply to configure.
