Monitors Not Showing

I set up monitors. I went to update from 1.19.5 to the more recent 1.22.0 version. I did not realize there was a update script so I tried to uninstall, and remove all things connected to zm that i could see. Then i reinstalled using 1.22.0. All seems good to go. I can get video using tv time. Only problem with video at the moment is 2 out of my 4 channels work. Only 1 and 3 work. (based on 0 - 3 scale). Well besides this problem which i will work out as i look more into it, I have a problem getting these monitors working in ZM.

I got to the web admin and i set up the monitors as follows.

Code: Select all

Monitor1 Monitor /dev/video0 (1)
Monitor2 Monitor /dev/video0 (3)
When I open up the ZM for the monitor I get one of the 2 following. On monitor 1 i set a size from x & y. I open it up and there is a broken image. On monitor2 it shows up as a very small window, and i am guessing a broken image as well.

I am not sure what i need to check to solve this problem though, but I am open to try anything that is suggested.

Thanks for all the help so far, and hoping to get this excellent program up and running again.

be sure your video drivers are loaded!!!

I had to load mine manually, I am having problems loading them automatically (at boot).

Well I know that the video is working because in TVTime i am able to get a video feed and see the video.

So unless this means there are other video drivers i am not seeing then i am not sure that is the problem.

have you tried any of the monitor presets?

I noticed that if one setting is wrong I got a broken image (I have BW cams and one of the presets I used had RGB and until I changed that one preset I got not video)

Well maybe that is the problem. When i open a monitor, and click on settings. It shows all of them as blank.

Also, if you have a single chip card you need to ensure that sizes and palettes etc are the same for all inputs.
