php error

just reinstalled apache & zoneminder, i am getting the following error...
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/root/tmp/sess_aff70f575a90178b6943918a5c712a51, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /var/www/html/security/zm.php on line 159
looks to me as if it is trying to create the session data in /root, any idea where i need to look to get it looking at /tmp instead?
