zms view motion zones

Post by jameswilson »

Would it be possible to coax zms into doing even more! lol
what im thinking is to add to the streaming of outlined motion is a means of viewing live footage with a mask overlay?

actually no this wpould require too much from the server. I was thinking it for zm4ms but i think it would be btter to get the values from mysql and draw them myself

It's a little bit tricky (though much requested nonetheless). Zms gets the images fresh from capture and not after processing so it's not very straightforward.

regarding the outlined motion would it be better to get images a different way? and dont wory about the mask ill put it in zm4ms as it will be asier. I was just thinking of a way of seeing where the detection is and isnt without using the web interface as i suppose it would be a permission nightmare to view and not edit stuff like that. Plus i dont like letting people loose on settings!!
