Image enhancing

Post by jameswilson »

Hi all, im looking for info on a topic i know little about but first i will tell you why.
I want to include some basic image manipulation in zm4ms ie brightness, contrast gamma etc. I have included a better interpolation and anti alaising method when saving stills that i will probably apply in the video creation too. I have also learnt that the 'commercial' boys cheat slightly and interpolate the image as the grab it from their own machine. Thats why some footage looks better on the pc than it does on the machine. Anyway Id also like to 'enhance' images. Im not looking for james bond impossibilities just something that might help, and have a bit of WOW factor. So does anyone know what these filters are called so i can see examples and is it something i should be wasting my spare time on?

I am also looking for very similar stuff.

I know that the stuff on CSI TV series is somewhat outstretched, but I would love to find some kind of software that will zoom in an image so that you could at least make out some of a license plate or facial features.

If you see anything be sure to post and I will do the same.

Will do. The only thing i can think of interpolate up then sharpen the image a bit. I cant see how you caould drastically improve an image but im looking at slight increases really
