1.22.0 upgrade, Can't Mocord all cams

Post by electron »

I have 2 systems with this same problem, one is fresh install, other is old 1.21.3 system that was upgraded. I can mocord 1 cam out of 3 & record other 2 on 3 cam system. On the 6 cam system, I can mocord 3 out of 6 & record other 3.
On the 3 camera system, fresh install used 1.21.3 install from RPM
then upgraded to 1.22.0 using 1.07 rpm
Both systems are 1.8 Ghz Duron 512 Ram.
3 cam system had previous 1.21.3 system on 80 gig HD, got new 300 gig HD, installed FC3 w/XFS filesystem, but previous system would Mocord all 3 at 4 or 5 fps no prob
Now if I set all 3 to Mocord, they start out w/green status on cam, then 2nd cam switches to yellow status within seconds & stops recording, get zmdc.log shows
zma -crash in log right after each time it starts.
I upped the shared memory, no fix, I slowed cams down to 2 fps
still no fix. Tried different buffer setting, no fix, any ideas ?

here is what i find in zmdc.log
05/28/06 18:53:36.270016 zmdc[4949].INF ['zma -m 2' started at 06/05/28 18:53:36]
05/28/06 18:53:36.272312 zmdc[4847].INF ['zma -m 2' starting at 06/05/28 18:53:36, pid = 4949]
05/28/06 18:53:38.872340 zmdc[4847].ERR ['zma -m 2' crashed, exit status 11]
05/28/06 18:53:43.006243 zmdc[4847].INF [Starting pending process, zma -m 2]

It's difficult to say from the error log you posted but I would suspect either shared memory issues (doing a full restart should eliminate that) or zone problems. It's probably worth just going into the zone edit page for each monitor and checking that the zones look sensible.

plus if you have no joy changhe the state to none and create a new monitor just to ensure that all is ok
