SMCWIPCAM-G

Has anyone setup a SMCWIPCAM-G using zoneminder. Anyone know if it is possible? Anything you might suggest in helping set it up?

Well, I can control the PT on the SMCWIPCAM-G now (it has software zoom so I can write that myself), so eventually I will write a control script for it and submit it. But not until I can stream jpeg or mpeg. Any of you had expierence with streaming from port 5001? Just figured I'd ask before I get involved too much. I've been talking with an SMC engineer and hopefully will get some good info when I get back from cleveland later this week.

One thing is for sure though about this camera: there is no security. Whoever wrote the software left the camera wide open. The UN/PW request is a joke. If you get one, and want it on an open network be prepared to secure it yourself.
