I want to know if it is possible to upgrade from 1.22.1 to 1.22.2 without any compilation.

On looking at the changelog it appears that most of the changes are in the management scripts rather than in the underlying binaries.

Will it be possible to upgrade just by replacing the pl, pm and php files alone, and probably the database definitions?

Off the top of my head I can't remember if there were any binary changes, but I would recommend reinstalling everything to be on the safe side. Is there a problem with installing binaries?
