viewing event stills

hi

i've got zoneminder configured in record mode, recording one camera at 3 fps. the bulk frame interval is set to 10, which means i write one database record every 3 seconds. the section length is set to 10 minutes. if i open an event and select stills, i get presented with thumbnails of the first 16 frames of the event, and by viewing them full size i can see that as expected they are at 3 second intervals.

based on the figures above i would expect to see about 200 images in this view for an event, which at 16 images per page would need 13 pages to display. however, i actually get the option of viewing 112 (sometimes 113) pages. the first 12 or 13 have images on them that cover the duration of the event at 3 second intervals, the rest of the pages are blank and do not contain any images. it looks like it's calculating the number of pages needed to display all the thumbnails based on the overall number of frames in the event (~1800) rather than those that were written to the database (~600)

any thoughts on this? if the explanation's not entirely clear let me know and i'll try and explain it a bit better.

i feel a bit picky posting about this, but i just noticed it and it's pretty much the only problem i've found with zm so far - generally an absolutely fantastic piece of software :D

cheers

Hi dude,

Really, actually Zoneminder have a bug in still viewing of record events. Try it in modect and you will see it works.

Ive asked some times to phil to please make a patch, but as him said, it would take a long time, so its better to wait for next version of ZM.

That is correct phil ?

Bye !

Yes. Fixing one thing in this area has tended to break another so I will fix it properly for the next version.
