Fuzzy up close image (jagged lines)

Im running version 1.21.3 of the LiveCD, since version 1.22 of LiveCD doesn't work by default with my DVR card. (BT878 chipset) Not sure whats up with that.

Currently on my 1.21.3 install whenever someone walks up close to the camera its all fuzzy with jagged lines.

Any suggestions?

can we see an image? I would also suggest if your card isnt being autodetected then it may be wrong also in the old live cd.
