I have no experience with the transciever so can't help you there. The CM11 I think is a bi-directional interface so you should be good with that, privded you have the serial version. I think there is a USB version but I don't know if it would be supported under Linux. If it just uses a regular USB<->serial interface it might, but I couldn't guarantee it.
Once you have that in place then ZM should be able to pickup and transmit X.10 to/from any address code.

I have zero experience with zoneminder - just putting together a system and only playing right now - but I am a big x10 user (and abuser) - and I will be using zoneminder as part of the home automation system, so I might be able to help with some of the X10 stuff.
CM11 - it's a serial device - should be a winner, it's bi-directional - the USB ones I have seen are all USB to serial - this will allow you to send and receive x10 signals from the mains.
tm13 rf receiver - will receive UNENCRYPTED/UNSECURE X10 RF signals and re-transmit them on the mains. not sure you need this.
I think the sc9000 has a SECURE X10 receiver - the MS90, DS90, and the KR21 all use SECURE X10 - so need a security receiver to receive the signals. But I don't know what you can make the SC9000 do when it receives signals from the remote controls and motion sensors - probably can make it send X10 control signals that zoneminder can respond to
I use a couple of UK suppliers - both have good tech support and pre sales - so they might be able to help with what the sc9000 can do

Hope this helps

I need to insert in zoneminder a key chain remote....
my idea:
Key Chain Remote Control KR21 (for uman being)
CM11 serial connection PC interface (to connect the trancever to the server)
Transceiver Module TM13 ( the tranceiver which waits for key chain remote commands)
Is it enough?
don't mind the clear transmission.
Let me know

That combination won't work - kr21 encrypted, tm13 unencrypted - for unencrypted keychain remote, use the kr22 - not as nice looking but will work for your solution

ok, I'll follow your suggestions.
But let me know....
It's error free procedure?
I connect the serial cable, unable the X10 inside zoneminder.... connect to wire 220V the serial connector....
connect the 220V trancever, push the stop/start button in the key ring remote.. and zoneminder starts and stops?
I need more informations? Is it more difficult than I belive?
Let me know please

from the x10 point of view you need to set the tm13 to a house code (a through o) and set the krww to the same house code (Both are clearly documented) the cm11 will pick up the transmissions.
BUT as to what needs to be setup on zoneminder to connect to the cm11 and get zm to respond then someone else will need to help out I am not doing any x10 with zm so I don't have any experience to share - sorry.

I made some test, and I think this is the way to work:
I unable the X10 for the specific monitor
I set the key chain to use HOUSE CODE A, and I set the first button to work on UNIT CODE 1.
Now in the settings of zoneminder I set inside the monitor 1 the activation string to "1"... the unit code.
I'll try it, but I'll need to work on field and if it doens't work it's not a good thing
Please help
So... another question...
If I set more than one monitor with the activation code 1........ can I stop all that monitors with only one botton key pression?
Thks

Now the key chain is working setting it to housecode A and with the 1st button set to CODE = 1.
The reciver works, the controller connected with server is working.
zone minder intercept the x10 signals
Code: Select all

Setting interface time/date...
Sending 6-byte packet: 0x00, 0x60, 0x58, 0x7B, 0x00, 0x90
Good send, sending 0x00 as OK
Packet send successful
Setting interface time/date...
Sending 6-byte packet: 0x00, 0x6F, 0x59, 0x7B, 0x00, 0x90

so now I want to set the monitor.
I use this choice:
in monitor setting...
unable X10
*******
Triggers X10
*******
in x10 label:
*********
Code: Select all
Parametri Valore
Stringa attivazione X10 1
Stringa allarme input X10 /usr/bin/zmdc.pl start zma -m 1
Stringa allarme output X10 /usr/bin/zmdc.pl stop zma -m 1
***********
first problem was....
nothing happened..
I've analized that the zmdc.pl is not in /usr/bin/
so I create a simbolic link
nothing again.
but from root it works.... and from zoneminder.... nothig...
Do i need to use tha apache user to successuful have it working?
In this versione of zoneminder.. from the fc3 distribution 1.21.3-3 downloaded from zm server, apache user have /sbin/nologin and with this... from the command line I can't run the command..
I tryed to change the setting to /bin/sh (because with this change from the command line it start and stop the monitor.... but I'mm waiting to test with the keychain ( I'm not where the sistem is installed).
any ideas more than this?
