I need to record under Linux 7/24 sound from sound card linein, compress it to mp3 and record in the hard disk in files. This files should has 30 minutes of recording each. So there has to be a way to include in the name the date and time they where recorded. This is to audit a Fm Radio Station so sound quality does not has to be extremely good as far as we can understand what is being said on air (Conversation).
Does anyone know how to do this on a console (no xwindows).
This is not related to zoneminder but it seems to me that what i need is a software like Zoneminder that record audio intead of video.
