cannot display ip camera in 1.22.2 or 1.22.3

I have tried many different ip cams and I am unable to display any of them in ZM.

Here is an example cam:
http://www.togwoteelodge.com/webcam/netcam.jpg

It displays just fine in the browser. wget gets the image as well.
I entered the information in zm, but I am unable to display a picture.

I upgraded my liveCD install to 1.22.3 because I read in another post that this may help.
My hardwired cams work fine.
I have also tried to grab the stream from my hardwired cam as a remote cam:
192.168.1.108/cgi-bin/nph-zms?mode=jpeg&monitor=1&scale=100&maxfps=5&user=guest&pass=zmguest
but i don't think that would work anyway because it doesn't point to a jpg file. Is there a way of accomplishing that at all?

Thanks for any help,

Patrick

you can use a zm stream as a source yes there are a few topics on here and i have done it myself.

When your ip cam fails to work what errors are you getting in your logs?

if you are trying to capture 640x480 then id expect you to have shared mem issues but your logs will confirm

you can use any graphic hosted anywhere. so you could use any jpg image from the internet.
If you are trying to grab images from a cam you need to match the settings, can you put your cam and your zm box public, i will take a look then

Thanks for offering to help. The box is public already. is it ok to pm you with the information? I'd rather not put the access information in a public forum.

***update It is working on one zm box but not on the other. the url under source is listed in red on the one where it is not working and orange on the other one (the one that works)

Here is what i found out so far:

ZM box 1: I was able to get the network camera form my first post to work.
In the ZM console the source pad initially appeared red. Even after I updated to the correct screen resolution (to match the camera output) it did not work. I needed to restart ZM before it started to work.

ZM box 2: same exact configuration as box 1 and it is not working.

Both boxes were installed using the liveCD version 1.22.2 and then upgraded to 1.22.3.

I even cofigured the second box to be a DMZ on my router, but that did not help either.

BOX 1 and 2 are built on different platform. Box 1 is a 800MHZ Celeron and BOX 2 is 667MHz PIII.

James,

Thanks for your offering to access my box, but for some reason it works now. I installed a capture card and after that all my ip cameras started to work as well. Strange, I know.
