Just some info for others. It seems the Asus A7N266-VM Motherboard has problems with Linux (nVidia nForce chipset).
Blueberry Live CD Boots & installs but has capture problems.
ZM Live CD 1.22.2.1 does complete boot.
FC 6 also does not complete boot.
So if your in the hunt for a machine best to avoid this motherboard.

What version of BIOS?
Have you updated the BIOS to the current version?
Have you tried to remove any extra peripherals (capture cards, modems, etc. that may not be initially supported by the kernel version on the install CD)?

I've cured similar problems just by getting the most recent kernels. Although the NIC on one of my nvidia boards still doesn't work under linux. (Receives but doesn't send, not very useful!)
Takes a while for the linux guys to support the really new stuff, and Nvidia are one company who love to change specs and hardware on the fly.
