Axis or Gadspot

Post by uxbod »

Hi,

I shall be installing three cameras soon and was originally going to Axis 221 with additional IR source. Though, I have now seen the GadSpot 4600H outdoor camera which looks pretty cool. Even though it does not have PoE you can use power over a BNC connection.

Any thoughts on this camera ? I see now that Axis also has a 2 Mega pixel camera in the form of model 223M.

TIA and a Happy New Year to one and all.

I have the 5600, I think. TBH, IR was less that ideal. The inbuilt leds flared to such an extent they made nightvision impossible, even when pressed right up against the glass.

No idea what it's like with an external IR source though - much the same as any other, I'd guess.

I think I shall go for some of these http://www.gadget-spot.co.uk/proddetail ... =NC1600HDN as they appear to offer a good set of features for the price. Anybody else using them ?
