how come when i set Pre Event Image Buffer to 0 it says "Pre event image buffer must be at least zero, and less than image buffer size" is this a bug or have i done something wrong?
the rest of my settings in "buffers" are
Image Buffer Size (frames) 10
Warmup Frames 0
Pre Event Image Buffer 1 (want to be 0)
Post Event Image Buffer 0
Alarm Frame Count 1
Pre Event Image Buffer
I've only been using ZM for a few weeks (still working the bugs out my test system, of no fault of ZM).
You probably don't really want the Pre-Event buffer to Zero. Even set to the default (20 I think), depending on your camera's frame rate, that only gives you a half a second or so prior to the alarm trigger.
I've been playing with different settings, the ones I'm liking so far are:
For Driveway and main entrance, 15f/ps, 30 pre-event frames (2 seconds), 60 post-event frames (4 seconds). That way you have a short lead in to the event, as well as after. This also helps make sure that the actual cause of the alarm is recorded, in case it's just a quick pass by.
Your results will vary depending on what you're trying to cover and accomplish.
