I just did a fresh Debian system install. Followed the guide on the wiki pages. Viewing live images works fine, however when i try to view saved events or setup zones the image box shows the broken image link. Any ideas whats up with that? IS there some special permissions i must put on the archive directories ? thanks

Yes,
We're looking at your events dir (set in zm config page) and all the subdirs below.
Either change the owner to www-data and permissions to 755, or if you have closed access to your box, a 777 will definately work but isn't that secure.
Something like:
chmod -R 777 events
chown www-data.www-data events -R

Just one question.
when you look at your events, do you use the actual size or do you try to view them in 2X the real size ?
At home I can't view events if I choose another resolution than the one used to record the event.
