I has installed ZM from Mandriva 2007 ZM Livecd. It seem that Mandriva 2007 does better administering the load that 2006.
But the time displayed on Zoneminder's main screen (blue numbers) is one hour ahead. My time zone is America/Panama. The events are recorded with the correct time and date.
I has been trying to find what could be causing this and would like to know from where ZM takes this time.
On Mandriva 2006 there was not this problem running on same machine.
Any clue?

Zoneminder installed from Mandriva 2007 livecd.
Timezone on MCC set to America/Panama.
Problem: Displayed time on main screen is 1 hour ahead from real time.
Events time are set correct.
The problem can be replicated by running from Livecd too.
Where does ZM take the time that is displayed on main screen? It seems not to be the same place it takes the time to record events.
Is this a Mandriva proble or ZM.
Thanks

Sorry that no one has been able to provide an answer yet. When I have more time I will try to reproduce this here.
If you would post any additional information about any packages you installed, which tools you used to set the clock, timezones, etc. And any things you have investigated or tried to correct the problem. This will help prevent duplicating your efforts.

Sounds to me like a possible problem in the time zone package.

Maybe. It would be good to try reverting to the mdv 2007.0 release package rather than the included update package.
To try this download the original 2007.0 RPM from one of the links here:
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/ ... 6.rpm.html
Then install with "rpm -Uvh --oldpackage timezone-2.4-4mdk.i586.rpm"
Please let us hear if this resolves the problem.

Also if you run in X 'Configure your Computer', in "Software Management", in "Look at available updates..." there is a timezone update for mandriva.

I do not have a computer available to do a trial installation at this moment so i booted from the Mandriva 2007 Livecd and applied to it the old package timezone-2.4-4mdk.i586.rpm as you indicated and found that
the problem is not corrected.
I has checked under MCC "Installed software" and found that timezone-2.4-4mdk.i586.rpm did install properly.
I do not know if a reboot is needed after a package install but i can not rebbot because i am running from livecd. What i did did was to press "ctl+alt+<-----" to reset the xwindow. Then logged again as guest.
In conclusion. the problem persist with the timezone version on the livecd, with the Mandriva update for timezone and with this old timezone package.
This is a problem i can live with. At this momment, this Zoneminder installations is simply something i am playing with and i just has to remember to substract 1 hour to the displayed one.
If there is something else i can contribute, just let me know.
Changing the timezone

I had the same problem with the time being an hour ahead. Perhaps because in Arizona we do not use daylight savings time
The solution was to edit the /etc/php.ini file to use the correct timezone. Find date.timezone in that file and set it to the correct option.
Info on how to do that is here:
http://www.phplivesupport.com/documenta ... id=3&uid=1
The official php list of timezones is here:
http://us3.php.net/manual/en/timezones.php
It is necessary to restart the httpd server (service httpd restart), but not necessary to restart ZoneMinder, after making this change.
