Camera Resolution with Blue Cherry Live CD

Post by jross »

I recently installed the Blue Cherry Live CD with their PV-149 4 port card. (Both of which I recommend for ease of install and quality). The card is rated at 640x480 resolution but each camera was set to 320x240 by default. When I change to higher resolution the camera turns red and I get nothing from the camera. I contacted Blue Cherry and they instructed to try slowing down frame rate. This make no difference.

What do I need to do to increase resolution to 640x480. This seems to be a Zoneminder related setting rather than any Blue Cherry issue.

I don't know anything about the analog cameras and the capture cards... so it could be something with that...

But the first thing you should check out is your shared memory settings. All too often, the shared memory settings is what prevents users from getting the higher res images.

From the Docs, read the 4th bulleted item and corresponding link:

Hope that helps!

Have you restarted ZM after you changed to the higher resolution?

I have restarted ZM after the change with no luck. I will have to check shared memory settings to see if that makes any difference.

No, not in Boston area.
