UVC (USB Video Class) webcams

Post by eyeinthesky »

Does ZoneMinder work with USB Video Class webcams (e.g. current Logitech Quickcams, Creative Live Cam Optia)? I understand any of these so-called "driverless" cameras should work with GNU/Linux thanks to the Linux UVC project, but there's little information out there about whether they specifically work with ZoneMinder. I searched this forum for "uvc" and things didn't look promising in the two threads shown :|

The models I am considering are the Logitech Quickcams Pro 5000, Fusion and Ultra Vision, so I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has used ZoneMinder with any of these particular models.

if it works with linux then zm should support it, as the actual grabbing of images is handled by linux, zm just requests them from linux (basically)
