Why Zoneminder doesn't support Unicode?
I suggest to convert all pages to utf-8 for better translation work.

Re: Unicode support
Yep, I originally wanted to name some of my cameras with unicode chars, and didn't allow.oc666 wrote:Why Zoneminder doesn't support Unicode?

Re: Unicode support
i stumbled upon the very same thing. just change charsets/collations in DB to utf8-something where something is collation that suits you best and you are done.robi wrote:Yep, I originally wanted to name some of my cameras with unicode chars, and didn't allow.oc666 wrote:Why Zoneminder doesn't support Unicode?
if common sense is so uncommon, why is it called common then?
In Hungarian, car is called "Autó" - there is the character "ó" that would be required in the camera name. Also would be nice to have spaces allowed in the names.zoneminder wrote:If you can explain what is required to add unicode support I will see how easy it is to implement. It is an area in which I have little experience really.
