Jumpy Black And White picture

Post by Smokey »

Hoping someone can suggest a solution to my issue.

I have recently purchased a PV149 from Bluecherry and I am having issues with picture colour/quality. I am using Bluecherry's latest LiveCD and a single PAL/NTSC wireless camera and have checked to make sure it is sending a signal by plugging it into my LCD tv on which I observe a good picture. The picture I get in Zoneminder is black and white and very jumpy with a black border on the left side of the picture which flickers in and out as the picture jumps.
Prior to purchasing the PV149 I was using a cheap DVR card I purchased on Ebay which I experienced the exact same issue with. The only difference in this case was that I was using the 1.22.3 Ubuntu Live CD download from the Zoneminder downloads section.
I am using a Compaq Evo Deskpro with a 2.4 Pentium and 512mb RAM.

Can anyone offer an opinion as to what the issue might be. I will post a picture of my current display a little later.

I've used both distro's with the same result which is what I've stated above. I was hoping that someone could kindly offer any suggestions as to what the issue is.

Is the picture also shifting left and right? If so I have the same problem.
